The winner will play 18 holes with Marc Warren. Marc is a European Tour professional, finishing 84th on the tour last year. He won the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles in 2007, and the World Cup of golf in the same year, when he partnered Colin Montgomerie at Mission Hills, China.

Marc enjoyed a superb first full season on The European Tour in 2006, when he captured his maiden title at the Scandinavian Masters on his way to winning The Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year. Might have thought it would have been hard to top that, but succeeded in 2007 thanks to two glorious weekends. The first came in September, when he thrilled the Scottish galleries by defeating Simon Wakefield in a play-off to win the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles; and the second came in November when, in partnership with Colin Montgomerie, he won the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, beating the United States in a play-off to register Scotland’s first success in the event. After that, 2008 was something of an anti-climax, with a fourth place finish in The KLM Open the main highlight as he took 97th place on the Money List. Improved to 84th in 2009, when his highest finish was tied fourth at The 3 Irish Open. As an amateur he holed the winning putt at the 2001 Walker Cup at Sea Island, Georgia, and spent three years adjusting to life in the professional ranks before teaming up with legendary Scottish coach Bob Torrance – a switch which helped him become the Challenge Tour’s top player in 2005.

PRIVATE ISLAND IN SRI LANKA

This extraordinary villa occupies a tiny, rocky island in Weligama Bay, Sri Lanka. Built in the 1920s by the eccentric Count de Mauny, it has subsequently been home to various luminaries, including novelist Paul Bowles, who wrote “The Spider's House” here. Totally private and set in two acres of spectacular tropical gardens, this light and airy octagon-shaped house is a traveller’s dream. Its elegant colonial furnishings, large wrap-around verandas with 360-degree views, rock pool and stunning swimming pool make you feel as though you are stepping into a 1930s novel. Taprobane Island is just 180 metres off the southern coast of Sri Lanka and about 40 minutes drive from the historic Dutch town of Galle.

There are 4 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms - three in the main house off the central hallway and one separate suite. Predominantly white with tiled floors and high, wooden ceilings, they are airy, cool and light. Splashes of colour reflect the sea and sky outside. The colonial furniture (a mix of wood and cane) is as comfortable as the finest English home.

Dining
The heart of the villa is the dining room, which looks out across the Indian Ocean. The food is delicious: spicy Sri Lankan curries, salads, fusion and Western foods are all available. Extremely fresh seafood is a speciality of the area – and no wonder, as the island is set off the fishing village of Weligama. Each day, guests order and pay for meals from the staff that buy the ingredients and do the cooking.
